Tom Fellows could be back on the transfer agenda for Everton in January after Dan Friedkin's takeover, according to Guy Havord.

The Sky Sports commentator said during West Brom's 2-0 win over Bristol City (22 December) that after Friedkin completed his buyout at Goodison Park, Fellows is a player the Blues may look at again.

Fellows, 21, was of interest to the Toffees and other clubs during the summer window, and despite staying at West Brom, the winger could now be the target of an improved bid with Friedkin at the helm.

Havord said: “He will be, I’m sure, one of those looked at during the January window. Everton were by all accounts sniffing around in the summer.

"Everton, under new ownership of course, now will look to strengthen their squad – (and) will have a bigger budget you would imagine. Tom Fellows, I think most would agree, is certainly one for the future.”

Dan Friedkin can be instant hit at Everton with Tom Fellows transfer

While Sean Dyche hasn't always been willing to call upon his new signings since taking charge at Goodison Park, the 53-year-old's setup would be vastly improved by adding Fellows to the mix out wide.

The right-sided, left-footed forward may have only scored once so far this term, he's already laid on eight assists, and those numbers will be music to the ears for Dominic Calvert-Lewin.

A £15million price tag slapped on the 21-year-old's head by West Brom proved enough to ward off the Toffees, among others, in the summer, but Friedkin's takeover has completely changed the landscape.

Right-winger is top of the agenda when it comes to the Blues' transfer plans [TEAMtalk, 9 October], and for the first time in a long time, they'll be able to pay top-dollar for a player wanted by numerous clubs.

Friedkin's first new on-pitch arrival at Goodison Park – and later Bramley-Moore Dock – could prove to be one of the faces of Everton's new era, and there's few that would fit the bill better than Fellows.
