Everton: Braiden Graham could find himself in Championship next season as interest grows
Everton starlet Braiden Graham is likely to get a taste of men's football next season after impressing for the Toffees academy.
The 18-year-old is arguably the most talked-about youngster for the Blues after an impressive individual campaign last season.
Graham grabbed 12 goals and two assists in 18 games in the Premier League 2, emerging as one of England's brightest talents.
He's shown a high potential that has Toffees fans excited to see him in action, but David Moyes has stressed the need to be patient with the winger.
According to the Liverpool Echo on Sunday, Graham is attracting interest from the Football League, with an acceptance at Hill Dickinson that he may be ready for a step out of academy football.
Braiden Graham could make jump to Championship
Graham's progress will be assessed in pre-season by Moyes and Co., who will then decide on what's best for the teen.
Everton are aware of interest registered in the Finch Farm ace by Football League clubs, and it could even go as high as Championship level.
It would be a surprise to some to see Graham go from Under-21s level straight to the second tier of English football, but there cannot be any wasted time with his development.
It all depends on how sure Everton are of his talent, because they truly have one of the best youngsters in the country on their hands.
Other big clubs put trust in their academy players with the highest potential by either loaning them out to the Championship or fitting them into the first team
Just look at Liverpool with Rio Ngumoha.
Graham could make national team debut vs France
Graham was given somewhat of a shock call-up to the Northern Ireland men's team for their upcoming friendlies
He watched Michael O'Neill's side beat Guinea 1-0 from the bench, and wasn't able to get on the pitch, but could make his debut in their friendly against France this Monday.
Either way, Everton should be getting reports from Northern Ireland on how he fitted in during training, because that could give them good insight into what it may be like if they were to loan him out.
Graham needs a challenge and to be pushed out of his comfort zone in order to grow, and despite the physical nature of the Championship, it could be best for him.
