Everton are reportedly considering making a bid for Bologna striker Marko Arnautovic who is valued at £17.5million by the Serie A club.

According to Tutto Mercato Web [25 January], they have no intentions of selling him, however, but there is a price in case any club decides to test the waters with the Toffees already making contact.

Arnautovic has had two spells in the Premier League previously, one with Stoke City and the other at West Ham.

Toxic

The last thing a club in disarray needs is for there to be another toxic presence on the side and Arnautovic is just that.

His most recent episode was when had a falling out with West Ham in the summer of 2019.

Arnautovic's agent openly announced that the player intended to leave the squad for a team in a better league, notably suggesting a move to China.

This led to tensions and constant chaos behind the scenes between Arnautovic and the West Ham hierarchy and some of the club's fans also became irritated as a result.

Before leaving for Shanghai SIPG in the Chinese Super League during the winter transfer window, Arnautovic was first dropped from the team and had to train alone.

He's unlikely to have mended his attitude issues and he's not even that good a player to take the gamble on with a move for a 33-year-old already being a risky proposition for Everton.
