Everton hunt for Lassine Sinayoko intensifies as Premeir League approach made
Lassine Sinayoko's transfer preference has been shared, with Everton among those mooted for a move as per reports from France.
The Auxerre forward has emerged on plenty of Premier League sides' radars after enjoying a successful season with Auxerre.
Sinayoko ended the campaign with 12 goals and four assists, a league total higher than any of David Moyes' squad achieved last season.
The Toffees face a tough battle to land the Ligue 1 striker, not only within England, as interest is rife throughout Europe's top five leagues.
Thierno Barry's future could play a role in Everton's advances amid RB Leizpig's advances as per reports from Paul Joyce.
If the Toffees were to let the Frenchman go, Sinayoko could be an option to come through the door.
Everton boosted in Lassine Sinayoko transfer race
Everton are among the teams looking at signing Sinayoko, as Media Foot previously reported.
Fulham, Leeds and Crystal Palace were also named as potential destinations, but sides throughout Europe, particularly the Bundesliga, are also in the race, according to the outlet.
However, reports from Get French Football News have handed Everton and their Premier League rivals a boost.
They report that Sinayoko has "set his sights" on making a transfer to the Premier League despite interest from elsewhere.
Sinayoko had looked to leave Auxerre last summer, but was convinced to remain at the Burgundy club.
It has also been shared that he is now expected to finally secure his long-awaited exit.
A new number nine looks to be on Everton's radar, but right now the Toffees are still prioritising a move for Hayden Hackney.
Talks are still ongoing for the Middlesbrough midfielder and any potential transfer for Sinayoko may have to wait until that reaches it's conclusion.
Discussions have been slow on that end, with Everton and Middlesbrough still apart in terms of both fee and structure of a deal.
Where do Everton stand in the race for Sinayoko?
As Everton focuses on other signings, they could be left in the dust for Sinayoko.
The aforementioned report from Get French Football News has shared that a "thorough enquiry" has been made by a Premier League club.
Crystal Palace had been thought to be leading the race after the appointment of Pierre Sage.
Sage had looked to bring Sinayoko to previous employers, RC Lens, in the last summer window.
And while no club is specifically named, with Everton potentially that side, it would not be a surprise if the Eagles were the ones enquiring.
Amid the high interest, Auxerre currently value the forward between £10.3million and £12.9m.
