Everton make effort to seal last-gasp Nathan Patterson exit

Nathan Patterson's time at Everton could still come to an end before the transfer window.

The Scotland international continues to find himself out of favour under David Moyes despite Everton's chronic lack of right-back options.

Patterson, 24, was not even included in the match day squad for Saturday's 1-1 draw at Bournemouth.

Indeed, Merlin Rohl continued to operate out of position at full-back, while the returning Tim Iroegbunam finished the game there.

And it looks like there is little chance of a change of heart from Moyes with the window almost at an end.

What's the latest with Everton and Nathan Patterson?

Everton signed Patterson from Rangers back in January 2022 on a five-and-a-half-year deal.

However, he has endured a miserable time with injuries, while his form has also been massively indifferent when he has played.

The Liverpool Echo has reported that Everton are still making efforts to seal a last-gasp exit before the end of the transfer window.

With Patterson into the final year of his deal, the Toffees are keen get him off the books now, with both parties accepting a departure is best.

Everton are hopeful of signing Kenny Tete from Fulham before the end of the window, which only further hinder his chances for minutes.

But Patterson is certainly not the only one set to leave.

Letting Patterson go is an absolutel no-brainer if a buyer can be found.

However, one that will be sad for supporters is the expected departure of Senegal ace Iliman Ndiaye.

The 26-year-old looks set to make the move to Tottenham, with Richarlison returning to Everton in a separate deal.

And striker Beto is reportedly having a medical at Fiorentina ahead of a return to Serie A.
