Everton mull over Charly Alcaraz transfer response as River Plate request sale conditions
Everton have yet to respond to a transfer enquiry from River Plate regarding Charly Alcaraz.
The Toffees have some big decisions to make this summer, as they prepare to welcome multiple new signings.
But with additions to the squad, David Moyes will also have to wave goodbye to some players who are surplus to requirements.
One player who has fallen down the pecking order this season has been Alcaraz, who made just 22 appearances in all competitions for the Blues.
The Argentine has barely featured in the starting eleven this season, despite making a permanent switch to Merseyside for over £12million last summer.
Now, he could be headed back to his homeland of Argentina, as River Plate seem keen on acquiring his services.

It always seemed likely that Alcaraz would be in the frame for an Everton exit this summer, given how little he has been used by Moyes this season.
The 23-year-old has clear talent and showcased that while on loan from Flamengo during the 2024-25 season.
However, since the Toffees triggered a mandatory buy option in his loan deal, he's struggled for game time, being restricted to just six league starts last term.
According to Argentinian journalist German Garcia Grova on X, River Plate have sent an enquiry over information regarding Alcaraz's possible exit conditions.
It's said that Everton are yet to respond to the South American outfit, and have seemingly been asked about a sale or loan exit.

Everton are needing to make signings of their own, and are not in a position where they need to offload players in a hurry.
Alcaraz is still a player who is appreciated by Moyes, and would have most likely saw more game time in the 2026-27 campaign, had Everton qualified for a European tournament.
That wasn't to be the case, which puts the midfielder's playing time at risk once more next season, but the Toffees won't be quick to get him out the door.
Everton are keen on signing Middlesbrough's Hayden Hackney, and if they do land the Boro star, then it could pave the way for Alcaraz to leave.
But there is no agreement in place as things stand, which means it would make no sense for the Toffees to send Alcaraz to River Plate so soon into what will be an interesting summer.
