Everton are now set to return to Premier League action after two weeks of international fixtures.

David Moyes will be looking to build upon Everton’s 2-0 win over Fulham as the Toffees look to march up the table.

On top of the fixture list, the Merseyside club will also be looking ahead to the transfer window, with new additions desperately needed.

Therefore, Goodison News has rounded up all of the latest news below.

Tottenham unwilling to let Richarlison leave

With Everton in need of a new striker, one star who has been linked is Richarlison.

The Brazilian had a great spell at the Toffees before his move to Spurs, with the attacker rarely letting the Merseyside club down.

However, he has been unable to repeat this success at Spurs, which has increased rumours that he may return to Everton in the near future.

Nevertheless, this now seems unlikely, with reports stating that there is no suggestion that Tottenham would allow Richarlison to leave on loan at present.

Everton backed to seal Evan Ferguson loan

Another star Everton have been linked with is Evan Ferguson.

The Brighton striker was once one of the in-form youngsters in the Premier League. However, his fortunes quickly changed, and he is now out on loan at Roma.

In Italy, he has been unable to recover his goalscoring touch, with Moyes now eyeing a potential swoop in January.

Speaking on these rumours, Bryan King has backed Everton to sign Ferguson on loan, as both parties look to end their goalscoring problems.

  • Ferguson has hit a period of bad form
  • The striker was sent out of loan to West Ham last season, where he struggled
  • Now, Ferguson is without a goal on loan to Roma in seven Serie A appearances

“He’s certainly the sort of player that Moyes would like to have a go at, to see if he can fish that potential out of him,” King said.

“But if he’s that good, why hasn’t he been playing for Brighton recently?

“He’s someone who has had an injury at a young age, and things haven’t worked out for him at Roma.

“It’s always worrying when you’ve got a player who’s got the potential that everybody says he’s got, and he goes away and struggles to get on the scoresheet.”

Merlin Rohl set for period on the sideline

One of Everton’s least successful signings recently has been Merlin Rohl.

Since joining the Toffees on deadline day, the attacking midfielder has continued to struggle with injuries.

This has restricted the German to just four Premier League appearances under Moyes to date.

Now, Moyes has confirmed that Rohl is injured again at Everton, ruling him out of their upcoming fixtures.

“Unfortunately, Merlin had an operation a week last Monday on his hernia, which is going to keep him out for a few weeks,” the Scot said.

“But hopefully by the time we get round to December, he’ll be pretty ready and hopefully fit to go again.”
