Everton do not seem to be done with their transfer activity as Marseille winger Jonathan Rowe appears to be on their radar.

David Moyes wanted new attackers at the Hill Dickinson Stadium and the board backed him by signing Jack Grealish and Thierno Barry.

Both players made their Everton debuts against Leeds United, with the game ending 1-0 in favour of the newly-promoted side.

Rowe transfer listed after spat with Adrien Rabiot

Rowe and Adrien Rabiot had an altercation inside the Marseille dressing room, which has seen the club taking action.

The Ligue 1 outfit have decided to transfer list both players, opening the door for clubs to show an interest in the final two weeks of the window.

Everton have been linked with Rowe since January 2024 and remain keen on the England Under-21 international's services.

According to the Daily Mail (19 August), Crystal Palace, West Ham, Sunderland and Bologna are the other clubs that are interested in signing the left winger.

The 22-year-old has another four years left on his contract as he joined last summer on loan with an obligation to buy on a long-term deal at the French club.

Everton unlikely to prioritise Rowe transfer

Everton’s recent signing of Grealish makes a move for Rowe unlikely, as both players prefer operating on the left wing, creating positional overlap.

Grealish brings Premier League-proven creativity and under Moyes, the Toffees are prioritising balance in attack.

Rowe thrives cutting in from the left, which clashes with Grealish’s role.

Moyes, aiming to complement Grealish and Barry, will likely seek a goal-scoring right winger to stretch defences and add firepower.

With Dwight McNeil also favouring the left, Everton’s recruitment strategy focuses on a right-sided attacker to maximise tactical flexibility and goal output for the 2025/26 season.
