Everton fans have been told that James Ward-Prowse could transform their team if signed.

Everton could advance on a loan-to-buy move for Ward-Prowse, who has fallen out of favour at West Ham under Nuno Espirito Santo.

The versatile midfielder signed for West Ham under David Moyes and saw his influence at the London Stadium grow as the seasons progressed.

James Ward-Prowse would be an excellent addition for Everton

Ward-Prowse was highly favoured at West Ham while Graham Potter was at the helm, but has seen his importance diminish under Nuno.

  • Ward-Prowse has started five games in the Premier League this season
  • His last game was against Crystal Palace in September

The midfielder is contracted with Everton until 30 June 2027, which means the Toffees could sign him for a bargain price this year.

With his arrival at the Hill Dickinson Stadium a real possibility, speaking exclusively to Goodison News, former Everton scout Bryan King believes Ward-Prowse would make a fine addition.

“I think that will be sorted out,” King said when talking about a deal for Ward-Prowse.

“A player of that quality would rejuvenate Everton as a team, it’s funny how quickly players like that can fall out of favour.

“He’s a quality player, and I’m sure that he’ll want to resurrect his career at Everton, especially under the manager who first signed him for West Ham.

“At this moment in time, I would think that if he’s going to go anywhere, then it will be to Everton.”

James Ward-Prose would add another dimension to Everton’s attacks

Ward-Prowse is best known for his ability to play-make from deep in the midfield.

He often receives the ball in a deeper midfield role and immediately focuses on ball progression whether that’s through carries or playing a teammate behind the opponent’s defensive line when in advanced positions.

This helps his team to move upfield and create purposeful attacks. His defensive efficiency and set-piece specialities are also a bonus.

Moyes' side could become an even greater transitional threat with Ward-Prowse creating from deep while also having a greater advantage against low blocks.

As a result, this could truly become an Everton side transformed if the midfielder arrives at the Hill Dickinson Stadium.
