Everton are one of the clubs interested in signing Wolfsburg midfielder Aster Vranckx this summer, according to Sacha Tavolieri.

Writing on his personal X account (18 June), the journalist reports that the Belgium international is "likely" to leave the Bundesliga club this summer as he enters the final year of his contract.

The Toffees are keeping an eye on the situation along with Serie A clubs, but no offer has been made to Wolfsburg at this stage.

Everton to sign Aster Vranckx as Amadou Onana replacement?

There is a big expectation at Goodison Park this summer that Amadou Onana could be moved on, with confidence growing that Aston Villa could complete a £50million swoop [TEAMtalk, 15 June].

Sean Dyche is said to be open to his sale as the club look to avoid further problems with PSR, and know that a big-money sale will help them as they will be selling for profit.

With just one year remaining on his contract, Vranckx will likely be relatively cheap for a Premier League side to sign, but Everton will be hopeful he doesn't impress at Euro 2024 with Belgium.

He was an unused substitute in their opening game defeat to Slovakia but good performances could drive his price up and attract more interest, so this is one to keep an eye on.
