Ex-Everton employee shares if 'big-money' striker will be signed as target named

Everton have not had much luck with signing new strikers in recent years.

After complaints around Dominic Calvert-Lewin's availability and the sale of Richarlison, the Toffees spent big money.

David Moyes was handed Beto and Thierno Barry in the final third, but they've been even worse.

Now, it could see a third consecutive summer with a new striker, if the Friedkin Group parts with the money.

Links have already started, but Everton have immediately started on the backfoot in the summer transfer window.

With no movement yet, fans around the Hill Dickinson are starting to get agitated.

Which striker is already on Everton's radar?

Early links have emerged between the Blues and Wilson Isidor.

The Sunderland striker is currently at the World Cup with Haiti, but will be on the next plane home after the group stage.

Bryan King does not expect that big money will be spent on a new striker again after Barry, but one could still arrive on Merseyside.

Speaking exclusively to Goodison News, the ex-Everton scout believes that Isidor is exactly kind of player who will be targered.

"He scored against Everton at Hill Dickinson," King said. "That may have ignited something in the staff at Everton.

"He's an honest player and you could say that he's a 'Moyesy-type player'.

"I don't think they'll be in the market for a big-money striker, so he'll be the kind of striker they're looking at.

"Is he going to lift Everton to a different level? I don't think so, but he could be a good squad player."

Everton: Wilson Isidor transfer fate surely almost certain after Sunderland exit news

Wilson Isidor helps make history at World Cup

Haiti were a relative unknown going into North America.

Despite only just sharing his allegence for the country, Isidor was part of the group to deliver their first World Cup appearance since 1974.

The Sunderland star not only did that, but he scored what many believe to be the goal of the tournament so far on Wednesday.

Despite losing 4-2 against Morocco, Isidor scored an absolute rocket from distance, putting his country ahead for a second time in the game.

It wasn't to be in the end, but it was a tournament to remember for the Haitians and Isidor, with a fixture against Brazil the cherry on the cake.

Isidor may not have finished his summer just yet though, with a move to Everton now possibly on the cards.
