Baris Alper Yilmaz has been tipped to succeed at Everton.

The 26-year-old Galatasaray forward is understood to be a target for David Moyes' side this summer.

Goodison News previously covered reports that Everton have made a £35million bid for the 38-cap international.

That approach is believed to have been rejected, with the Turkish side believed to be holding out for around £42m.

The Blues may be reluctant to spend that much on an unproved talent in the Premier League.

However, they have been told that he would adapt to the English top-flight if the move materialises.

What has been said about Everton target Baris Alper Yilmaz?

Turkish journalist and expert Dogukan Yildirim believes that Yilmaz has the attributes to make it work in England.

He worries about his technical skills, but insists that he would have no problem with the physical aspect of the game.

Speaking exclusively to Goodison News, he said: "If this transfer happens, I think Baris Alper Yilmaz would adapt well to the physical side of the Premier League.

"In fact, he could even make the difference in some games, in the Turkish Super Lig, he is known for his incredible physical strength, winning duels, and explosive power, he works very hard, puts defenders under pressure, and loves making runs behind the defensive line.

"He can play on both the left and right wing. He has also played as a striker many times for both the Turkish national team and Galatasaray. At one point, he even played as a right-back.

"However, his football intelligence and technical ability are not at the same level as his athleticism, he is far from being an elite technical player, he still has weaknesses in decision-making, passing, finishing, and reading the game.

"Because of that, you need to build the right system around him to get the best out of him. He is much more effective when there is space to attack."

How does Yilmaz compare to Everton's current options?

The numbers suggest that Yilmaz knows where the goal is, which would be a relief for Toffees supporters.

He notched 12 goals and 16 assists in all competitions last season, which is more than Beto and Thierno Barry.

The Blues pair managed a total of 18 goal contributions between them last time out, so it would be an upgrade for Moyes.

With speculation and questions growing, it remains to be seen if Everton get a deal over the line for Yilmaz.
