Harrison Armstrong has issued a message of support as an Everton teammate is set to leave.

A summer of change could be in bound at Hill Dickinson Stadium, with David Moyes eyeing to progress up the table.

The Toffees have seen many players depart already, from the first team down to the youth level ahead of July.

And now, 21-year-old Roman Dixon has issued his first message since it was confirmed he will be leaving the L3 club.

Dixon had emerged as a promising youngster under Sean Dyche, but has not been a preferred option under Moyes.

Now, with his future set in stone, teammate Armstrong has not wasted anytime in making his feelings known.

What has Harrison Armstrong said to Roman Dixon amid Everton exit

Dixon has spoken out for the first time about his exit from Everton via his own social media page.

Everton had already announced he would be leaving the club earlier in June.

The youth star spent 10 years at the Merseyside club and has thanked those who have helped him along his journey on Instagram.

Among those to respond to the message is Armstrong, as he posted "All the best bro", followed by a love heart emoji.

Armstrong and Dixon have shared the pitch on plenty of occasions at youth level, mainly in the under-21s, but have played at senior level together.

Under Dyche, in a Carabao Cup match against Doncaster Rovers, Armstrong and Dixon were both used as substitutes in the final 10 minutes as Everton won 3-0.

The 21-year-old would start in the next round as Everton lost on penalties to Southampton.

But that 90-minute performance would be the final time he played for the Toffees' first team.

Could Dixon return to Stockport County?

It is always sad to see promising stars' careers at Everton dwindle and Dixon certainly looked to have a big future.

In the opening game of the 2024-2025 season, Dyche had entrusted the fullback to start the opening game. A huge showing of trust.

But things had not continued to pan out that way.

In the winter 2026 window, Dixon made a move to Stockport County on loan after an earlier deal collapsed due to injury during the summer before.

Stockport manager Dave Challinor stated at the time as relayed by BBC Sport: "We need to build him up but if we can do this safely, we get a player that really excited us during the summer and he will give us really good options down the right-hand side."

However, Challinor has since left the Hatters by mutual consent, so whether or not Dixon could return on a free remains up in the air.
