However, a move for the former Aston Villa man may have to wait some time to get into motion.

Juventus manager Luciano Spalletti still wants to take a closer look at the South American across pre-season before they make a final decision.

Nonetheless, the report does provide genuine hope that a transfer could be on the cards.
