Everton could make a move to sign Leicester City striker Patson Daka before the February 3 deadline, according to iNews.

The newspaper reported on its website on 30 January that the Foxes will listen to offers for the Zambian international, who is out of favour.

The Toffees are pushing for a new striker, with Dominic Calvert-Lewin and Armando Broja now ruled out with injury issues at Goodison Park.

Kevin Thelwell, who is connected in France, is also looking at overseas options.

With David Moyes back at the wheel and consecutive wins picked up for the first time this season, there should be more positive news coming out.

Daka is struggling to get a game at a Leicester side who are struggling to escape that relegation battle and have limited options due to their PSR situation.

The 26-year-old has made 11 appearances in the Premier League this season, with only one start, scoring just once against West Ham under Julen Lopetegui.

Much will depend on the future of Beto in the coming days to see how desperate Everton will become, with the heavyweight striker pushing to return to Serie A (Tuttosport).

No matter how desperate the Toffees are, if the Friedkin Group want to make an immediate impact, they need to increase the budget and fish in a bigger pond than Daka.
