Manchester United are willing to pay £30million less than what Everton want in order to sell Jarrad Branthwaite, according to Give Me Sport.

The media outlet reported on 17 February that the Red Devils are keen on taking advantage of the Toffees' financial issues and pay just £50million to wrap the deal up quickly for the 21-year-old.

However, the Toffees are only keen on selling the English centre-back for £80million.

Everton must stick with their guns or retain Jarrad Branthwaite

Everton must stand firm on their valuation of Branthwaite, as £80million is a fair price for the young defender given the current market conditions.

In a landscape where top-quality defenders are in high demand and command significant fees, the club's valuation of the 21-year-old is justified.

His impressive performances for the Toffees, coupled with his potential for growth and development, make him a valuable asset.

Moreover, the Toffees' financial situation, while it may be challenging, should not dictate a fire sale.

The club's decision to set a high asking price for Branthwaite is a strategic move to ensure they receive adequate compensation for losing a key player.

This approach also sends a strong message to other clubs that the Toffees value talent and will not be bullied into selling below their valuation.

If nobody can meet what they want, Sean Dyche will be happy to retain the services of Branthwaite.
