Sean Dyche has been mocked online by comedian Sam Avery as Everton were held to a 1-1 draw by Leicester City at the King Power Stadium.

Posting on X [21 September], Toffees fan Avery described Dyche as "more confused than Joe Biden" and criticised his "negative" approach as Iliman Ndiaye's opener was not enough for the victory.

Stephy Mavididi's leveller after half-time denied Dyche's men a first win of the Premier League season, despite having led in each of their last three games.

Avery shared in his post: "Dyche looked more confused than Joe Biden in that second half.

"His approach is so negative he probably leaves the plazzy sheets on when he gets a new sofa."

Everton held by Leicester City in frustrating draw

Everton fans' mixed views on Dyche's reign at Goodison Park are parallel with their views on Saturday's away point - not catastrophic but not ideal.

Five relatively winnable games represent a huge opportunity for Dyche to reignite the belief on Merseyside, having remained in the drop zone with the draw at a sodden King Power after Southampton also picked up a point.

Chaos in the boardroom coupled with rising debts are enveloping the club as they attempt to move forward, which has a domino effect on matters on the pitch.

Dyche is an experienced operator and will be adept at shutting out the uncontrollable aspects of the club from his own perspective, but something has to change in the team's performances.

The draw is a baby step, but wins simply must come in the next month's fixtures with no distractions of other competitions in close arrival.
