Who is on updated Everton right-back target list?
Guela Doue is still the dream for the Everton boss, according to a live update from Sky Sports on Tuesday.
Mark McAdam shared the likelihood of that move happening, and also named Ridle Baku and Daniel Munoz as other potential options.
Speaking live on air on 25 August, he said: “We know that David Moyes wants Strasbourg’s Guela Doue, but the price looks prohibitive there.
“Other ones he likes are RB Leipzig’s Ridle Baku and Crystal Palace’s Daniel Munoz.”
The proposed names are all top quality options and would improve the L3 outfit as they chase a European berth, after narrowly missing out last season.
Which right-back is the best option for Everton?
Doue played 24 league matches in the 2025-26 season, notching two goals and six assists.
He averaged 8.25 defensive contributions per 90 minutes, according to Fotmob, with 2.18 tackles, 4.32 recoveries and 4.49 clearances.
Baku made 32 appearances in the Bundesliga in that campaign, with two goals and three assists.
Defensively, he averaged 6.67 contributions, with 2.15 tackles, 5.02 recoveries and 3.16 clearances.
Munoz featured 29 times in the Premier League last season, with four goals and three assists.
He averaged 7.42 defensive contributions per game, with 2.77 tackles, 3.63 recoveries and 3.63 clearances.
Doue looks like the best all-around option, as he notched the most contributions going forward and his numbers at the back come out on top.
However, if a deal can't be reached for his services, the other two options represent great alternatives, and are not too far away in terms of the data.
Toffees supporters likely won't care who it is, as long as a right-back comes in, and the problem position is finally addressed after years of neglect.
