Djed Spence has quickly emerged as a candidate to fill Everton's troublesome right-back position.

David Moyes is looking for reinforcement at full-back, in an area that has given the Toffees plenty of headaches in recent years.

Veteran Seamus Coleman has now departed Hill Dickinson Stadium, and Nathan Patterson is likely to be sold if a buyer can be found.

Patterson has struggled with injuries and form ever since joining from Rangers, and the likes of Ben Godfrey and Jake O'Brien have been utilised out of position over the Scotland international in the past.

Right-back is certainly a priority for Everton this summer, and several targets are being looked at.

Tottenham full-back Spence, currently away representing England at the World Cup, is a leading candidate and a Tottenham insider has shared more information on Everton's thinking.

How much are Everton willing to pay for Djed Spence?

Roberto De Zerbi is reportedly ready to let Spence depart the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium this summer.

Spurs have Pedro Porro as their main right-back, while Archie Gray can fill in there too if need be.

Over on the left side, where Spence has predominantly been used by Spurs, Andrew Robertson and Destiny Udogie are among their options.

So, it appears as though there may now be an opportunity for Everton to do business with Spurs for Spence.

Tottenham insider and FA-registered agent Paul O'Keefe has now taken to X to share that Everton want to £25million to sign Spence.

It remains to be seen if Spurs will agree to that fee, but Everton clearly view Spence as a viable option this summer.

What else do Everton need this summer?

Everton briefly flirted with European qualification in the Premier League last summer before tailing off.

What is evident is that Everton need greater depth if they are to kick on next term and challenge those European spots.

Right-back is a problem area, but there are other areas Moyes will be targeting in the window.

A new striker will be on his wishlist, especially given Beto and Thierno Barry were so wildly inconsistent last term.

Tyrique George has signed permanently from Chelsea, but another wide player could be on the agenda depending on what happens with Iliman Ndiaye.

And Everton are also tracking another central midfielder despite signing Hayden Hackney.

Idrissa Gana Gueye has yet to to commit to a new deal and will be 37 later this year, while Tim Iroegbunam is attracting interest elsewhere.
