Everton, Newcastle and Nottingham Forest are among the clubs keen on signing Corinthians striker Yuri Alberto in January, according to TBR.

The news outlet reported on 31 October that after seeing moves to Premier League sides fade away over the last three windows, the Brazil international is hoping to be lucky the fourth time.

The 23-year-old is understood to be open to leaving Brazil as he aims to play in the English top flight.

Everton need to find a long-term Dominic Calvert-Lewin replacement

Alberto, who has been on the club's radar since 2023 was once valued at £21.4million and it remains to be seen if he'll be available in a similar price range in January.

The 23-year-old is at an age where he can grow alongside the team, offering years of service potentially at his peak.

His track record in Brazil, scoring at a prolific rate, suggests he possesses the goal-scoring instinct and flair that could translate well to the Premier League, where physicality and tactical awareness are paramount.

Unlike Dominic Calvert-Lewin, who has struggled with injuries and appears set to leave, Alberto's youth and physical profile might offer more consistency in terms of fitness, which is crucial for the Toffees' ambitions.

Additionally, his style of play, marked by agility, technical skill and an eye for goal, could bring a different dynamic to Everton's attack, possibly complementing or diversifying the team's playing style.

Whether or not they seriously consider a January transfer pursuit, remains to be seen.
