Report - Everton plot summer swoop for PL dazzler available for free
Everton are monitoring Bournemouth winger Ryan Fraser ahead of a possible summer swoop, according to 90min.com.
The Scotland international is out of contract at the end of the season, and his situation is said to have caught the attention of the Toffees.
It is understood that the 26-year-old has snubbed the offer of a new deal on the south coast, and is expected to leave the Cherries.
The report also states that the Blues could face competition from fellow Premier League rivals Arsenal and Tottenham Hotspur in their battle to land the wide man.
Would Fraser be a good signing for the Toffees?
It’s difficult to say, if we’re being honest.
There’s no doubting that the Scot has talent to burn, but so far this term he has managed just one goal and four assists in 31 appearances during a disappointing campaign for the Cherries.
With an expected goals rating of just 0.11 he has really struggled to provide any kind of consistent threat, and his dribble success rate of just 57.9%, as per Wyscout, leaves a lot to be desired.
That being said, if he can recapture the kind of form that made him successful a hit for Bournemouth last season, when he registered seven goals and 14 assists, then he would be an immense signing.
The key here could be that he is available on a free transfer – a factor that could convince several clubs to come knocking.
Is he worth the gamble? If the stakes are this low, absolutely.
