'All eyes will be on' - Sky pundit slams Everton mainstay after handing Fleetwood 'gift'
Lee Hendrie has claimed all eyes will be on Everton goalkeeper Jordan Pickford after their 5-2 win over Fleetwood in the Carabao Cup.
Pickford was caught in possession minutes into the second half and handed Mark Duffy a simple chance to get his side back into it.
The Sky Sports pundit claimed his mistake was a gift for Joey Barton’s side, as he once again fluffed his lines for the Toffees.
Hendrie believes that the Toffees stopper was trying to be too cute in possession when he should have just smashed the ball clear.
“All eyes will be on Jordan Pickford,” he said on Sky Sports.
“Trying to play out from the back here, trying to be a little bit too cute, being shut down.

“It’s a gift given to him.”
Yet again, there’s another week where Pickford has made a mistake in between the sticks.
Carlo Ancelotti did not look best pleased with the England international after he handed the League One side a route back into the game.
The Italian’s major problem is that he doesn’t have anyone who can offer any real competition at Goodison Park.
Joao Virginia has been pushed into the first-team set up, although the Portuguese stopper has no real chance of getting ahead of Pickford – who must be skating on thin ice.
David James claimed that Pickford is still England’s number one despite these errors, but it will only be a matter of time before he is replaced.
