Everton forward Dominic Calvert-Lewin is currently in the form of his life.

The Toffees striker has started the Premier League season with nine goals in all competitions and has scored in the first four games.

Garth Crooks has once again included him in his Team of the Week, claiming that his goal against Brighton was like watching Everton greats.

Writing in his BBC column for this Team of the Week, Crooks was blown away by the performance of Calvert-Lewin once again.

"He can't stop scoring, can he? His ninth goal of the season saw him become the first Everton player to score in four consecutive Premier League matches," he wrote.

"A strange statistic when you consider the Premier League has only been in existence 27 years. I've got whisky older than that! Nevertheless, it's quite an achievement for a lad who went 10 games without scoring last season.

"There is no doubt about it, Calvert-Lewin is in the form of his life at the moment and although his goal was reminiscent of former Everton greats like Bob Latchford and Graeme Sharp he's not in that class yet. And neither of them played in the Premier League for the Toffees."

Everton

The 23-year-old is currently the top scorer in the Premier League and was rewarded with a call-up to the England squad.

Only four players are averaging more shots on goal per game than Calvert-Lewin according to WhoScored - with his physique causing numerous problems.

Calvert-Lewin is on fire, and if he continues in this form, Carlo Ancelotti will be targeting more than just European football.
