Everton have agreed terms with Nuno Espirito Santo on Friday evening, according to John Percy.

The Telegraph journalist has shared that the African-born manager is set to take charge at Goodison Park in the coming days.

The Toffees finally appear to have their man after numerous names have come and gone to replace Carlo Ancelotti.

Writing on his personal Twitter account late last night, Percy reported the news that many Everton fans wanted to hear.

"Nuno Espírito Santo and Everton is almost a done deal," he wrote.

"Terms agreed in principle earlier this evening."

Finally.

It was looking as though this was never going to end.

Every single day brought along a new name, and yesterday was the same until it looks as though we have our man.

Nuno is a smart appointment, he has succeeded at Wolves and knows what it takes to bring Europa League football to a club.

His passion will fit in perfectly on Merseyside, and going into the new stadium will be the project that is needed to spark his love again after a dull year at Wolves with not much positivity.

This gives the likes of Farhad Moshiri and Marcel Brands to work along with their new manager in the transfer window too, and you can bet that the majority of links over the next fortnight will be Portuguese.

With the announcement only a matter of days, if not hours away, we can look into the future knowing that this appears to be the right choice, now it is time for Nuno to prove that.
