Everton keen as Franck Kessie registers interest in Premier League move

Everton have contacted the representatives of AC Milan midfielder Franck Kessie, asking to be kept aware of his situation, according to 90min.

The current contract of the Ivory Coast international powerhouse, 24, ends next summer, and he has turned down Milan’s latest offer.

A move to the Premier League is high on Kessie’s agenda as he believes it would be better suited to his style, and his reps are confident that Everton and other suitors will make pre-contract offers in January.

Liverpool, Chelsea, Manchester United, Tottenham Hotspur, Arsenal and Leicester City are all keen on him, while Paris Saint-Germain Bayern Munich, Borussia Dortmund and Atletico Madrid have all been recently linked.

The bigwigs want Kessie, and while Milan will not be giving up on convincing him to pen an extension, it appears he wants to move to the English top-flight.

His suitors will be moving to get him to agree a pre-contract in January if he is still yet to commit his future to the Serie A giants, and Rafa Benitez’s side should not hesitate to throw their hat into the ring.

Serie A legend Vincenzo Montella dubbed the defensive midfielder an “extraordinary player with sublime intelligence” [Goal] back in September 2017, and he is spot on.

The Blues need to make a marquee addition to their team, and they could be landing one for absolutely nothing.

Convincing him to choose them ahead of others would be a tough task, though, but anything is possible if they play their cards right, and getting such a quality player would be a huge statement of intent from the decision-makers at Goodison Park.
