Serie A outfit Udinese have reportedly sanctioned the sale of Everton target Beto who could join the Toffees in a late deadline-day deal, according to CalcioMercato.

According to Italian journalist Marco Conterio [Twitter, 31 January] the Toffees had made a £22million bid for the 25-year-old Portuguese striker, with which the club were evaluating.

Everton want to get this deal for the 25-year-old Portuguese striker who has bagged seven Serie A goals so far this season, done immediately after failing to sign a striker all January.

And according to CalcioMercato, the Serie A outfit have sanctioned the sale of the forward at the last minute with the Toffees reportedly pressing to complete the deal.

Taking to their Twitter page [31 January]: "Beto can leave SerieA at the last minute! Everton pressing to buy the attacker from Udinese."

Finally

It now finally seems as if the Toffees have got their man with Beto now available to complete his last-gasp move to the Merseyside outfit.

It was evidently clear the club needed attacking reinforcement having just registered 15 Premier League goals from 20 games - the third worst in the division.

Everton

Sean Dyche desperately wants goals added to his squad, especially with Dominic Calvert-Lewin struggling to recapture his best form and Neal Maupay so far failing to provide any real spark in front of goal since his summer move from Brighton.

Beto has enjoyed two terrific seasons at Udinese scoring 18 Serie A goals in that period and seven from 20 outings so far this campaign. While his capture will be a boost, it certainly won't be enough with Dyche also needing much creativity and invention in attack after Anthony Gordon's sudden departure.

Time is running out for the Toffees.
