Alan Myers shares verdict on 777 Partners amid ongoing Everton takeover speculation
Alan Myers has shared his verdict on 777 Partners after there has been much speculation around its potential takeover at Everton.
The Sky Sports journalist tweeted on Saturday (16 September) that there is “a lot of misinformation” and “little substance” at the moment time in regard to the US investment firm.
He added that it would be “prudent to hear from those involved” first before “judging the suitability” of the group after there have been a number reports released over the past week.
Holds weight
There has been an awful lot of speculation around 777 since it was announced Farhad Moshiri had entered into advanced talks with the company, but there hasn’t been a lot of answers provided yet.
Myers’ comments should hold some weight, though, as he is an experienced journalist and is very invested in everything that goes on at Goodison Park.

He usually has his finger on the pulse with a lot of things that are happening at the club, so perhaps it’s time to let the potential new owners come out and tell their side of the story.
There is no doubt that some clarity does need to provided on some of the accusations that have been aimed at the company, though, because a lot of it has led to concern on Merseyside.
It’s clear that a change is needed due to the club’s financial problems and a couple of disappointing years on the pitch, but whoever takes charge has to be able improve matters quickly.
