Jamie O'Hara admitted Jordan Pickford got away with it as the Everton goalkeeper made two mistakes in England's Nations League clash with Greece.

The Toffees' shot-stopper was named in the starting XI as the two sides went head-to-head at Wembley Stadium on Thursday 10 October, nearly giving the visitors an early lead.

Having come out of his penalty area, Pickford's mis-control ended up needing a goalline clearance from Levi Colwill before having his blushes spared by the offside flag from the resulting corner.

Taking to X on Thursday (10 October), O'Hara wrote: Pickford got away with two there, jeeeez."

The 29-year-old is an absolute livewire when he's in the mood. Few fans can predict what is going on in his head, and he won't know after this moment unfolded at Wembley Stadium.

Pickford was one of the Toffees' players of the season last term, keeping a total of 13 clean sheets in 38 Premier League games, but it has been much more of a struggle at Goodison Park this season.

Sean Dyche's team have already conceded 15 goals in their opening seven matches of the new league campaign, and this clip will do nothing to fill his manager with confidence.

Pickford has certainly done more than enough over the years to earn respect, with 70 international appearances to his name, but moments like this one do raise some alarm bells among the fans.

He will just put it down to a rush of blood to the head, but Dyche will be hoping those thoughts are gone by the time he returns to Merseyside.
