Everton striker Beto has been pictured at Manchester Airport amid continued speculation he could leave Goodison Park this month.

Beto has been linked with the likes of Juventus (Quotidiano Sportivo) and Roma (Calciomercato.com) having signed for Everton from Udinese in August 2023.

X account The Toffee Blues posted to show Beto with a supporter with a caption that said he was apparently waiting to board a flight to Italy.

Another user added that he was "hanging around a plane bound for Torino".

Everton ready to move Beto on

In truth, there would be very few tears shed if the Toffees did allow Beto to depart Goodison Park in the January transfer window to return to Italy, where he made a significantly better impact than he has in England.

The Guinea-Bissau striker has just one Premier League goal to this name this season and just two in all competitions as he continues to struggle with the Toffees.

He is certainly not the only Everton forward to be goal-shy this season, with Dominic Calvert-Lewin - another player linked with the exit door at Goodison - having managed only two league goals for Sean Dyche's goal-shy Toffees.

But Calvert-Lewin does at least offer other traits and, with a team that shows more imagination, you feel like he could still be a very useful outlet.

There is little to suggest the same for Beto and, if this picture is an indication he's on the way out, then frankly that's probably best for all involved.
