Jose Mourinho is now the odds-on favourite to become the new Everton manager, according to the latest bookmakers' odds.

BetVictor have made the 61-year-old the 8/11 favourite to replace Sean Dyche.

Graham Potter (5/1) is the second favourite but he's widely reported to be on his way to West Ham.

David Moyes (6/1), Edin Terzic (12/1) and Thomas Frank (12/1) are also among the front-runners.

Dyche, 53, is under immense pressure at Goodison Park with Everton's new owners The Friedkin Group considering his future after the defeat to Bournemouth at the weekend [Sky Sports].

Who will be the next Everton manager?

Mourinho's name will be hot on everyone's lips if TFG do proceed with sacking Dyche.

As per The Bobble on X (19 December), Marc Watts is the man currently in charge of matters at the club alongside Friedkin Group representatives.

Ana Dunkel, TFG’s Chief Financial Officer, and Colin Chong, who is currently the Toffees' interim CEO, are also currently on the board [The Bobble] and are probably assessing Dyche's future alongside director of football Kevin Thelwell.

Dan Friedkin could also be having a say.

And if Friedkin does pull the trigger on Dyche, could he look at his former Roma manager Mourinho to replace him?

While the Portuguese boss is the current resounding favourite, it's hard to believe that he'll go back to working for TFG roughly a year after he was sacked by them at Roma.

He's currently in charge at Fenerbahce, too, which means that PSR-hampered Everton would have pay a compensation fee they would probably rather avoid.

David Moyes' return can't be ruled out, at least on a temporary basis.
