Everton stars align for Emil Holm transfer as Juventus set to pass up £15m opportunity
Everton could be well-positioned for a second bite of the cherry with Emil Holm, who looks unlikely to stay at Juventus beyond this season.
David Moyes wanted to sign a right-back in the winter transfer market, and Holm was on a long list of potential options.
The Toffees did try to bring him to Hill Dickinson, but were outmatched by Juventus, who ended up loaning the Swedish star from fellow Serie A side Bologna.
Bologna agreed to insert a buy option of £15.5million in total, including add-ons, that the Bianconeri could still trigger this summer, if they wish, to make him theirs permanently.
However, Everton may still have Holm on their radar, who looks increasingly likely to make a return to Bologna following a failed spell with Juventus.

Everton were linked with a swap move for Holm, which would have seen Nathan Patterson head in the opposite direction.
The Scottish defender still looks set to depart Hill Dickinson this summer, which could spark another swap deal conversation with Bologna.

Holm only started his first Serie A match for Juventus this month, but was taken off in the 71st minute, with him still not 100 per cent fit.
According to Juventus transfer outlet Black & White & Read All Over, the 25-year-old would sign a four-year contract until 2030 if Juventus trigger his buy option, and would then earn roughly £20,000 per week.
Given that the right-back has barely featured for the Serie A giants, it’s likely that Bologna will make him available for transfer again this summer, as the defender clearly has a salary that the Friedkin Group could afford.
David Moyes will have right-back assurances this summer
Patterson is still set to leave the Toffees one way or another, as Bologna could prove a new career destination for the defender, likewise Sevilla, who are also said to be interested.
Everton also have interest in Sheffield United’s Femi Seriki, who may want to test himself in the Premier League, but the list of right-back possibilities is long.

However, Moyes must have some guarantees that he will sign a new right-sided full-back this summer, because he cannot go another season deploying Jake O’Brien there.
Holm may be the best man to go for, from a financial and footballing standpoint.
