Jake O’Brien experiment finally set to end at Everton, Tristan Crama signing solves problem
Jake O’Brien could be set for a change at Everton if Tristan Crama comes in.
The Frenchman could be on the move in the summer after a stellar campaign at Millwall in the Championship.
He is now set to feature in the playoffs with the Lions, with a double header against Hull City coming up within the next week.
Promotion could prove to be the only method for the East London outfit to keep their hands on the defender beyond the summer transfer window.
If Everton can complete a deal for Crama, it may prove to be great news for O’Brien’s future on Merseyside.

Tristan Crama could join Everton from Millwall
The defender completed a move to The Den in January 2025 and has proven to be an excellent addition for Alex Neil’s side.
That was on show throughout the campaign as he took his place in the Team of the Year, as he helped Millwall to a third-place finish.
| Stat (Championship 25/26) | Tristan Crama |
| Appearances | 46 |
| Minutes played | 4107 |
| Goal involvements | 9 |
| Chances created | 36 |
| Duels won | 265 |
| Defensive actions | 444 |
He could ultimately find himself in the Premier League regardless of whether his side win the playoffs at Wembley or not.
That comes after former Everton scout Bryan King suggested exclusively to Goodison News that Crama is of interest to many top-division sides, with the Toffees among them.
He said: “I’ve heard that there are three or four clubs who are interested in him. He got into the EFL Team of the Year, and to be fair to him, he’s had an exceptional season.

“I think he’d fit in well anywhere, but he looks like an Everton player to me.”
Crama could be a top signing for Everton and could unlock the best of O’Brien moving into his third campaign on Merseyside.
Crama could help unleash Jake O’Brien at Everton
The Millwall man could come in and provide much-needed competition as a right-back, while also being able to feature in the centre of defence.
That could be the perfect news for O’Brien, who has been forced out to full-back by David Moyes due to the lack of other options.
He has now played 44 career matches out on the right, but will be keen to get back to centre-half as soon as the opportunity arises.

The signing of Crama would be exactly that, as the Frenchman could provide depth in multiple positions and quality down the flank.
Moyes could end his experiment with O’Brien and finally allow the ex-Lyon man to feature in the natural role that he was ultimately signed for.
