Everton’s final Premier League position updated by supercomputer as European hunt still on
Everton‘s European hopes are fading with two Premier League games left.
The Toffees’ winless run continued on Sunday as Crystal Palace came from behind twice to secure a 2-2 draw.
Since returning from the international break last month, David Moyes’ side have failed to win any of their last five league matches.
In that run, they have drawn with Brentford, Manchester City and Palace, while suffering late defeats to Liverpool and West Ham.
With the season nearing its end, Opta’s supercomputer has predicted where Everton will finish the campaign.

Supercomputer gives verdict as season end approaches
It has been a season of progress for the Blues, who are back in the upper echelons of the standings after a tumultuous spell battling near the bottom of the league.
Given their recent winless run, however, there will be disappointment if they miss out on continental football.
| Season | Manager | Finish |
| 2020-21 | Carlo Ancelotti | 10th |
| 2021-22 | Rafa Benitez/Frank Lampard | 16th |
| 2022-23 | Frank Lampard/Sean Dyche | 17th |
| 2023-24 | Sean Dyche | 15th |
| 2024-25 | Sean Dyche/David Moyes | 13th |
Looking ahead to the end of the season, Opta’s supercomputer predicts a 10th-place finish for the Toffees, with an expected points tally of 52, three more than the 49 they currently have.
According to the supercomputer, there is still a 12 per cent chance of the Blues reaching the Conference League via an eighth-place finish, while the odds of finishing seventh stand at 3.35 per cent.
With this in mind, Moyes and his side may feel frustrated at the season’s end, with Everton no longer in control of their own destiny with two games to go after their poor recent run.
Everton to feel frustrated despite positive upturn
Just over a month ago, there was talk of Everton pushing as high as the Champions League spots.
Of course, that was always a pipe dream, but the frustration will come from how things have fizzled out since.
It has still been a positive season overall, with major improvements on the pitch, even though the squad is largely the same one that was once fighting near the bottom of the division.

Moyes’ side are now in danger of ending the season with a whimper, with their winless run stretching to five matches.
Given how tight the league has been this term, the final outcome may feel like a missed opportunity.
And while the Toffees were never expected to be in the hunt for Europe, some frustration is only natural given how the race has unfolded.
