Harrison Armstrong to rue contract agreement after latest Everton snub
Harrison Armstrong continues to be treated poorly at Everton.
The Englishman returned to Hill Dickinson Stadium in the January transfer window after spending the first half of the season at Preston North End.
Things were going well at Deepdale as Paul Heckingbottom’s side continued to fight towards the top end of the Championship table.
The 2007-born ace was recalled to L3 and became a regular throughout the absence of Idrissa Gueye at AFCON.
Harrison was a star in that period for Everton, but has since been left questioning why he would have penned fresh terms on Merseyside.

Harrison Armstrong penned new contract at Everton in 2025
There are high expectations surrounding the teenager after just two campaigns featuring in the senior game.
His spell at Derby County was good and was followed by a positive half-campaign with Heckingbottom’s Lilywhites.
| Season | Club | Appearances | Goal involvements |
| 2025/26 | Everton | 14 | 2 |
| 2025/26 | Preston North End (loan) | 17 | 2 |
| 2024/25 | Derby County (loan) | 15 | 1 |
| 2024/25 | Everton | 6 | 1 |
Those two temporary deals allowed him to grow in men’s football and ultimately become ready to feature in the Premier League.
That was clearly always the plan for the academy product as the Toffees tabled him a new deal before he joined Derby in February 2025.
A half season at Pride Park came with a three and a half year contract on Merseyside that will keep him with the Blues until the summer of 2028.
That may have seemed positive at the time, but now Armstrong is at risk of being truly abandoned by Everton and David Moyes.
Armstrong continues to be snubbed at Everton
Committing his future to the Toffees was seen as a way to become a first-team regular in the near future.
That felt like it would be the case this season when he returned from Preston, but he has since fallen by the wayside in L3.
Since late February, Armstrong has featured across just 14 minutes of Premier League action, which obviously isn’t good enough.

That doesn’t look like improving in the final two games of the season and could leave the Englishman questioning his future.
His problem will be his concrete contract that will lock him in at Hill Dickinson Stadium for another two years, which may continue with this lack of minutes.
