David Moyes lands new job as Everton boss to temporarily double up duties
David Moyes has landed himself a second job for the summer that he will double up with his Everton duties.
The Scotsman has endured a disappointing end to a campaign that promised so much for Everton not too long ago.
Everton were in contention for a top-five finish, and a place in the Champions League, heading into last month’s Merseyside derby with Liverpool.
That is one of six matches in a row the Toffees have failed to win, however, leading to some discontent among the fanbase and the odd murmuring regarding Moyes’ future.
Moyes looks set to stay on at Hill Dickinson Stadium, but he will have a second job to balance over the coming weeks.

David Moyes to work as pundit during World Cup
Moyes’ future at Everton is not as certain as it was just a month or so ago given his side’s drop-off in form of late.
Everton’s European hopes faded week by week and they now find themselves in 12th place, with a 14th-place finish possible if results go against them on the final weekend.

Moyes has come in for criticism, although in truth he also worked wonders with what he had for the first three quarters of the season.
The 63-year-old will no doubt be raring to go again come July when Everton’s players return for pre-season, but before that he will do some punditry work.
It was announced by talkSPORT on Thursday that Moyes will be part of their punditry team for the upcoming World Cup.

Brighton manager Fabian Hurzeler is another current Premier League boss who will be giving his insight to the radio broadcaster.
It is not known how long Moyes will be working for the station, or whether he will be UK or USA-based, but it is likely it will not be beyond the group phase.
Moyes contract situation should raise eyebrows
At the time Everton were flying, with the 3-0 home win over Chelsea on 21 March a particular high point, it was reported a new deal was about to be offered to Moyes.
However, a conflicting report then emerged suggesting The Friedkin Group were not ready to offer fresh terms.

That was surprising given the hype around Everton and Moyes at the time, with the Scotsman having just another year to run on his existing deal.
It means Moyes will depart Merseyside for a second time in 12 months’ time unless something is agreed beforehand.
There are whispers that the Friedkins could go bigger in terms of their next choice of manager, but right now Moyes will have a chance in 2026-27 to show he is the right man to stay in the job.
