David Moyes cracks joke about the Friedkins in Everton press conference after win vs Ipswich

David Moyes has taken a tongue-in-cheek jab at Everton's The Friedkin Group owners.

This summer has seen a lot of criticism come the way of Dan Friedkin and his TFG ownership of Everton.

Much of that was comprised around the Toffees' frustrating end to the transfer window.

Beto was allowed to leave with no striker coming in as his replacement, whilst Iliman Ndiaye and Tim Iroegbunam both left late on as well.

Everton were still able to spend a combined £88million on transfers this summer, and TFG will see that as Moyes being backed considerably.

Always the character, the 63-year-old didn't waste a golden opportunity to take a slight swipe at his bosses with a clever piece of humour.

The Toffees boss congratulated Thomas before presenting him with a gift from the club, which Moyes couldn't help but mock.

"The club have got you a bottle of cheap wine. We had to ask the Friedkins for this," he joked.
