Crystal Palace co-owner John Textor is confident that his shares at the London club are sought after as he attempts to complete the Everton takeover, according to the Guardian.

The news outlet reported on 9 August that the American billionaire is also confident that arranging a financing deal for the Toffees' Bramley-Moore Dock stadium could allow him to delay the takeover until January.

He needs to sell his shares at Palace to buy the Merseyside outfit and it's understood that there are three potential investors ready to purchase them.

However, elements of Textor's interest in completing the takeover are understood to be premature.

Everton face an uncertain future until their takeover mess is sorted

Despite Textor's confidence in finding buyers for his Palace shares, the process is taking longer than expected, causing uncertainty about when the takeover will be finalised.

This delay is particularly concerning for Everton, as they are in dire need of investment to finance their new Bramley-Moore Dock stadium.

Textor's strategy to delay the takeover until January, while arranging financing for the stadium, adds further complexity and uncertainty to the situation.

The lack of clarity over the club's ownership and the financial backing for the new stadium project creates a challenging environment for the Toffees.

Until the takeover is completed and the club's financial situation is stabilised, the club's future remains uncertain, impacting its operations, player acquisitions and overall stability.

It's an unfair situation to even put Sean Dyche as the manager has not had a period of stability since taking over the reins.
