Everton face Liverpool next weekend in the first Merseyside derby of the 2025/26 campaign.

Unlike many clashes in the past, the Toffees could easily nick something from the Reds, with Everton having a great start to their season.

After the Everton's 0-0 draw with Aston Villa at the Hill Dickinson Stadium, David Moyes’ side are sixth.

However, despite Everton facing a daunting task at Anfield, Liverpool haven’t looked at their best so far this season.

Iliman Ndiaye could destroy Milos Kerkez in Merseyside derby

Iliman Ndiaye has been one of the standout players for Everton so far this season.

The winger has already netted twice in the Premier League, and Ndiaye put in another wonderful display against Aston Villa on Saturday.

This has also been the case away from the Toffees, with Ndiaye being hailed as 'exemplary' in Senegal’s 3-2 win over the Democratic Republic of Congo earlier this week.

In comparison, Milos Kerkez has had a nightmare start to his Liverpool career since his £40million move to the Reds this summer.

  • Ndiaye signed for Everton last summer
  • The winger has already netted twice for the Toffees this season in the Premier League
  • Ndiaye has also impressed for Senegal internationally

Against Burnley on Sunday, the full-back was brought off in the first half after he struggled heavily at Turf Moor.

If the Hungarian starts again on Saturday, Ndiaye will surely be licking his lips.

Given the contrasting form of the two stars going into the match, the winger will surely have Kerkez running in circles.

This could prove to be vital if Everton are to get anything out of the match next weekend.

On top of this, even if Arne Slot chooses to play Andy Robertson instead, Ndiaye would likely still dominate the right flank.

How good has Iliman Ndiaye been for Everton this season?

Overall, Nidaye has been excellent for Everton.

According to Fotmob on 14 September, the winger has been outstanding in attack, while also impressing in defence.

If this can be replicated throughout the campaign, Ndiaye could be the difference between European qualification for the Toffees this season.

Hopefully, he will be able to show how good he is once again on Saturday against Liverpool.
