Everton perhaps have more of a spotlight on them now than maybe ever before.

Under The Friedkin Group's (TFG) ownership and with David Moyes in charge, the vision for Everton has been made clear.

The very move from Goodison Park to Hill Dickinson Stadium is a visual representation of it.

Indeed, TFG want to bring the Toffees into the truly elite category of English football clubs.

Everton have been somewhat skirting around this group for many years, but both on and off the field, many pieces are in place to change that.

And thanks to recent events in the world of politics, a golden opportunity to take their brand to it's greatest ever level has fallen into their laps.

What has Paul Quinn urged Everton to do from a branding perspective?

Football has a funny way of uniting people from all walks of life, backgrounds and jobs.

That stretches right to the top of global politics too, as witnessed on Wednesday night at Hill Dickinson Stadium.

Of course, it's no secret that the UK's Prime Minister Andy Burnham is a lifelong Evertonian.

What some may not have known, however, is the same can be said for Canada's Prime Minister Mark Carney.

Posting via the Canadian PM's official X account, a picture of Carney and Burnham together at Everton's game against Wolves was captioned with: "Up the Toffees."

In response to that, Everton reporter Paul Quinn said: "The opportunity for the club and the Friedkins to leverage this global exposure is huge.

"Let's hope we maximise the support of @andyburnham and @MarkJCarney."

But why else is now the perfect time for Everton to use this rare branding opportunity to their advantage?

Everton need to jump on Canadian fans market

If there's one part of the world where Premier League clubs can harvest an appetite for football right now it's North America.

With the World Cup lighting the touch paper for greater fan interest across the pond, now is the time for teams like Everton to jump on that.

As detailed via Toffee Link, there are a whole host of Everton supporter clubs across the United States and Canada.

Everton chiefs should look to utilise this to their advantage, especially with Carney sure to be in support of any outreach work by the Toffees in Canada.

If Everton truly want to become a global power in the future, then expanding their fanbase overseas is crucial.

Should the Toffees but significant time and effort into becoming more visible in Canada, then they could go a long way to achieving that.
