TFG have been reluctant to invest in David Moyes' squad since taking over and moving to Hill Dickinson Stadium.

TFG are now looking for external investment at Everton and it remains to be seen how the situation will unfold.

When the Friedkins took over the Toffees, they promised big things, but may now have realised what it could take to build a competitive team at Hill Dickinson Stadium.

Liverpool Echo journalist Gavin Buckland feels that TFG have clearly reigned in their ambition at the Blues as they may have no interest in investing their own money in L3.

The task at hand in Merseyside is more than what the Americans may be able to handle, with the financial forecast predicted to be bleak.

Speaking on the Royal Blue podcast on 23 September, Buckland said, "According to the stories that have come out afterwards, [TFG] aren't interested in investing any money in the club at all.

"And that shows to me that their ambition has been reigned in from when they started and it would be good to know why that's the case. I think they've bitten off more than they could chew.

"The club is essentially going to lose money every year. And they had to cover that with two player sales or their own cash and I think they've realised that."

Moyes has never spoken to Friedkin and the ownership haven't attended any Everton games.

It's an indictment of TFG's apathy towards the Toffees, which fans certainly no longer tolerate.

Moyes has saved the American ownership's blushes for now, but it surely can't last long if they keep ignoring the need for reinforcements in L3.

In January, the Blues should actively look for reinforcements to bolster their squad and possibly give the Scottish manager a better chance of clinching European qualification.

Moyes has gotten off to a decent start this season, but without TFG's support, there's not much he can do.
