Everton vs Ipswich Town injury latest as six could miss out at Hill Dickinson

Everton are ready to welcome Ipswich Town to Hill Dickinson Stadium on Saturday.

It's second home fixture within a week for the Toffees as Gary O'Neil's side make the trip to Merseyside.

The Premier League outing will come just days after the Carabao Cup victory over Wolves.

Charly Alcaraz scored to seal a 1-0 win, while the Tractor Boys fell to a 4-2 defeat at home to Arsenal.

Attention now turns back to the league as both sides look to build on three points last weekend.

Both have been hit with respective injury issues as we assess how Everton and Ipswich will be affected.

Things are feeling much more optimistic right now on Merseyside.

The end to the transfer window was certainly a blow, but two draws and a win since deadline day has helped maintain an unbeaten start to the season.

David Moyes has managed that with a very thin squad that has already been impacted by injury.

That has seen Christian Norgaard fail to feature since signing from Arsenal, something that will continue until after the international break.

He has been joined by Merlin Rohl and Harrison Armstrong, with both suffering unknown issues.

They both face late fitness tests ahead of Saturday's game, with the Englishman seemingly more likely to feature.

Moyes was confident of that ahead of the Wolves clash, but he said very little about Rohl's issue.

Ipswich could welcome duo back vs Everton

It is a similar story for the Tractor Boys ahead of their trip to Hill Dickinson Stadium.

The only name missing until after the international looks set to be Jack Taylor with a knee issue.

The midfielder doesn't look likely to feature until mid-October at the earliest.

Emersonn and Azor Matusiwa missed out in midweek through muscle tightness, but could feature in L3.

The latter isn't ready to start, but can pick up minutes off the bench for the Suffolk outfit.

O'Neil suggested that Emersonn's issue shouldn't be a problem to face Everton, so he could be more likely to feature from the first whistle.

That could give them a boost going forward after he netted in the 3-2 win against Crystal Palace last time out.
