Alan Myers claims Everton are working on currently bringing in three different players to Goodison Park this summer.

The Sky Sports journalist claims [17 July] that some moves are close to completion than others but nothing is finalised just yet.

The Toffees have announced the signing of Ashley Young on a free transfer and are now looking to add to their list of summer signings.

Myers wrote on Twitter, "All I know is work is going on to bring 3 players in with the possibility of 3 out, some closer than others, other than that I can’t give you anything else regards time or names, I suspect the names we already know are involved."

Working on multiple fronts

It's good that the Toffees are not just focusing on one player as that thoroughly slows down the recruitment process.

The Toffees need a striker, a wide attacker, a midfielder and centre-back at the very least and it seems like they're working on at least three of those roles.

With Young joining, they do not need a full-back anymore as he can serve as a deputy at right-back as well as left-back.

Everton

Sean Dyche will have a specific profile in mind when it comes to new signings so it will be interesting to see what kind of players he sanctions.

The striker is very likely expected to be tall, physical and good in the air and hopefully, proves to be an upgrade on Dominic Calvert-Lewin.

The Englishman proved to be extremely unreliable and they desperately need to find an upgrade on him this summer.
