Andy Gray can only laugh after what Richard Keys has said about West Ham's trip to Everton

Everton’s match against West Ham on Monday has taken a late twist.

Graham Potter has now been sacked by the West Ham, just days before the game, with Nuno Espirito Santo coming into the dugout.

The Englishman’s sacking comes as little surprise, with the former Chelsea and Brighton boss only having a 24 per cent win rate at the London Stadium.

With David Moyes now set to face his former club on Monday, the Hammers appear to have collapsed since he left in 2024.

Andy Gray laughs at West Ham’s woes since David Moyes left 

Before Moyes’ return to Everton, the Scotsman had a highly successful spell at the Hammers, which saw him win the Europa Conference League.

However, since the East London club willingly let him depart, they have since sacked both Julen Lopetegui and Potter, with the two managers having just over a year in charge combined.

Now, Nuno will seemingly fight a relegation battle this season, with the Hammers currently 19^th in the Premier League.

• Moyes had two spells at West Ham, winning the Europa Conference League in the latter
• The Scotsman left the Hammers at the end of the 2023/24 campaign after deciding not to renew his contract
• Since then, West Ham have been struggling in the Premier League

Yet, under Moyes, West Ham were often fighting for Europe, and reached the Europa League quarter-finals in his final year.

As a result, Andy Gray was quick to mock the Hammers’ quick downfall since Moyes left on beIN SPORTS on 27 September.

West Ham game just became 10 times harder for Everton

Everton were the favourites for the West Ham tie before Potter’s sacking. However, with Nuno now at the helm, the game has just got 10 times harder for Moyes.

The former Nottingham Forest boss was easily one of the best managers in the Premier League last season as he guided them to Europe.

Now, the Hammers are likely to be defensively solid against Everton, something that the Toffees have struggled with this season.

However, given that Nuno will have literal days to work with his players, hopefully, Moyes can use this to his advantage.
