Dan Friedkin involvement in Everton January transfer plans mooted amid Alan Myers update

Bryan King believes Dan Friedkin will be involved in any January transfer plans at Everton.

The ex-Goodison scout thinks Friedkin is the type of man who will let Sean Dyche know his opinion on any potential moves.

According to Alan Myers via X (10 November), the Toffees could look to add "at least two" new players to Dyche's squad in January.

And King - speaking exclusively to Goodison News - claims that this can only be a good thing.

“I’d imagine Friedkin is involved as he is the man supplying the money,” King said.

“By the sound of things, he is the type of man who likes to let the manager know what kind of players he is interested in.

“Bringing in fresh faces always livens the squad up and makes players work harder. They will suddenly feel under pressure, or as though they need to start upping their performances.”

Everton to sign two new players in January?

King has previously suggested that Friedkin is making his presence felt behind the scenes at Everton after a recent hire was made.

Therefore, it would be interesting to know in reality just how much influence Friedkin already has on the Toffees, even though his takeover is yet to be complete.

However, whatever that influence might already be, Evertonians will just be happy to discover that the club could look to add players to the squad in January.

After a miserable start to the season, things are beginning to look up at Goodison Park, with the threat of relegation no longer looming as large.

As a result, any additional transfers can only be seen as good news, whether or not Friedkin is involved.
