David Moyes can have his own Riyad Mahrez as Everton line up Illan Kebbal transfer

David Moyes could see his Everton side boosted by the arrival of Illan Kebbal this summer.

With European ambitions still strong, the Toffees will be fixated on having a good end to the campaign with six games to go.

However, behind the scenes at Hill Dickinson, recruitment plans will be getting put into place ahead of what could be a huge summer window.

Everton will be looking to identify targets early, given the World Cup schedule, with a heavy focus on attacking signings.

Kebbal has since been linked with Everton, and he has a very similar profile to Riyad Mahrez.

Aside from the ones that meet you at face value, such as his nationality, position and preferred foot, there are several other comparisons that can be made between the two.

And the main one concerns the leagues in which they had both featured.

Kebbal has 13 goal involvements for Paris this season, including 12 in Ligue 1, though he has spent several seasons in Ligue 2, where he has put up very similar numbers.

Prior to his move to Leicester, Mahrez had done the same with Le Havre, though his numbers were actually worse than Kebbal's.

Age is a factor in that, but Kebbal's stats over the last few seasons should be enough to spark excitement on Merseyside if a deal is pursued.

Kebbal transfer would be perfect for Everton

Everton have some very good attacking options, but very few of them fit the system that Moyes looks towards.

A left-footed right-winger would be ideal for the Toffees in the summer, though it would force Iliman Ndiaye out to the opposite flank.

But with 11 goals in 48 appearances from the left, that may not be a bad thing for the Senegal international.

Much of it may hinge on the future of Jack Grealish, and, of course, the fee required to bring Kebbal to the Premier League.
