Everton: Harrison Armstrong sends Rio Ngumoha new message after England scenes
Everton midfielder Harrison Armstrong has reacted to Rio Ngumoha making his England debut.
The Liverpool youngster was brought into England's World Cup preparations to make up the numbers.
Ngumoha has enjoyed a good rise across the city, with two goals and one assist in 19 Premier League appearances.
Armstrong has not been as lucky, making just 13 appearances for the Blues senior side and failing to notch a contribution.
He has clearly been taking inspiration from the Anfield star after his latest social media activity.
What did Everton star Harrison Armstrong say to Rio Ngumoha?
Armstrong sent a message to the 17-year-old after he recieved his first cap for the Three Lions.
Ngumoha took to Instagram on 7 June, posting an image with a caption of three lions emojis, saying: "Debut"
The Toffees star reacted by liking and commenting on the post with the clapping hands emoji.
It was also liked by fellow Blues midfielder Tim Iroegbunam and former star Dominic Calvert-Lewin.
Why did Armstrong like Ngumoha post?
Ngumoha and Amstrong have played together six times as part of the England Under-19s set up.
Therefore, it is no surprise that the L3 ace has offered his congratulations to his teammate, despite the rivalry between their clubs, they are likely friends.
Some supporters may not like it, as he plays for their arch-rivals but ultimately both are working for the same goal, to be stars for their national team.
Armstrong will be hoping to eventually follow in the Reds' star's footsteps and make his senior debut for Thomas Tuchel's side in the near future.
To have any chance of doing that, he needs to be playing regularly for the Toffees, although he may start to doubt that will be enough to make it happen.
The likes of Kiernan Dewsbury-Hall and James Garner impressed for Moyes' side this season, but they were both snubbed for the squad for the tournament and Jack Grealish was not expected to make it had he stayed injury free.
The Blues will hope that Tuchel starts to pick their players, so one of their best talents does not seek to move elsewhere, because it could be a genuine possibility, if he is watching players in his age group get picked often.
