Elevate Sports Ventures are searching for a sponsor for the naming rights of the new Everton stadium with multiple parties interested, according to The Athletic.

The online outlet reported on 18 October that the Toffees are using the U.S-based consulting firm to lead the search for a naming rights partner for "Everton Stadium" at Bramley-Moore Dock.

There has been interest from a number of parties but it appears that "the right bidder" is still being waited on as the name "The Toyota Stadium" has been delicately mooted on The Athletic website.

The automobile giants have plenty of history in the naming rights business and could look to add the Toffees to their portfolio.

It looks likely that the Japanese company will hold talks with the club which may be pushed forward once the Friedkin Group completes their takeover [TBR].

There is no doubt that this could prove to be a huge boost to the finances for TFG and the club given the cost of the new stadium.

Costs for the project on Bramley Moore Dock have somehow spiralled from an initial plan of £500million to now costing more than £800m [BBC Sport].

As a result, having the arena named "Everton Stadium" wouldn't provide the club with any financial aid other than traditional revenue.

Although it could be seen as frustrating to some supporters, having a sponsor just makes sense and even though "The Toyota Stadium" doesn't sound glamourous, having the backing of a £192.94billion company [Companies Market Cap] can only be a huge positive for the club.
