Everton player ratings vs Bournemouth - Kiernan Dewsbury-Hall brilliant, 4/10 teammate dismal
Everton secured a late 1-1 draw against Bournemouth on Saturday afternoon.
The Blues were looking to continue their positive start to the campaign that had seen them with their first two matches in all competitions.
David Moyes made two changes to the side that beat Preston 4-0 in the Carabao Cup last time out.
Tyrique George started over Tyler Dibling, and Jarrad Branthwaite returned to the team with Michael Keane back on the bench.
It looked like it was not enough as the Toffees were behind for most of the afternoon on the South Coast through an Alex Scott strike.
Several players were not up to their usual standard but James Tarkowski stepped up with a header in the closing stages.
Kiernan Dewsbury-Hall was Everton's standout performer in Bournemouth clash
Kieran Dewsbury-Hall will be a key player for the Blues this season.
The 27-year-old was their standout player against Marco Rose's side by a comfortable margin.
He created four chances for his teammates, made seven line-breaking passes and completed all of his three crossing attempts, per FotMob.
Defensively, he also made three tackles and seven recoveries, winning six of 10 ground duels, for a 60 per cent success rate.
He will be critical if Moyes' side are going to qualify for European competition this season
His contributions at both ends of the pitch are so valuable and he proved that again at the Vitality with a brilliant showing.
Tyrique George struggles in Everton draw vs Bournemouth
George replaced Dibling for the contest, but he failed to make his impression on Moyes.
The former Chelsea man was hooked after 62 minutes, with just one chance created and one shot on target.
While he did manage two touches in the opposition box, he could not find a teammate as he failed with his three cross attempts.
Moyes likes his wingers to offer defensive security, but George only made one tackle and one interception.
He needs to give much more in the future if he is to secure a regular berth in the side.
