Tottenham's clash against Everton will not be do-or-die for Ange Postecoglou, according to The Telegraph.

The newspaper reported on 17 January that the Australian head coach retains the support of the board at Spurs despite the recent defeat against Arsenal.

The Lilywhites now travel to Goodison Park on Sunday (19 January) but there is no indication that the clash against the Toffees is "a do-or-die scenario" for the 59-year-old.

This is despite outside noise from supporters who believe that the ex-Celtic boss is approaching the end of his cycle in North London.

David Moyes will come into the clash in L4 hoping to get a first win since his return after falling to a 1-0 defeat to Aston Villa last time out.

The Scot welcomes Spurs to Merseyside a week after they scraped past National League side Tamworth in the FA Cup third round.

Since then, the North Londoners have lost to their main rivals in the North London Derby in which Arsenal took a deserved win.

With the Lilywhites' confidence low and Postecoglou potentially preparing for the worst, it could be a situation for the Toffees to take advantage of.

Although the Australian isn't at immediate threat of the sack, there is no doubt that he will be feeling the pressure at Goodison, especially if his side doesn't pick up three points.

It will be a test for Moyes to boost his new side's confidence with a view to get one up on the former Melbourne Victory manager.
