The Everton keeper was called up to England's camp for their UEFA Nations League tournament alongside Trafford.
Leeds United signed Trafford from Manchester City earlier this summer, spending £40million on the 23-year-old.
There have already been chants at Elland Road calling him England's number one, and now his teammate Tarik Muharemovic is getting in on the act.
Following the Whites' 0-0 draw with Crystal Palace on Sunday, Muharemovic said, as quoted by the Yorkshire Evening Post: "We all know Trafford is an unbelievable goalkeeper. For me, already England’s number one.
"He's just doing his job very, very well. I hope he keeps playing like this, and I hope he will be the new number one."
Everton will laugh at this because Trafford has made two appearances for the Three Lions.
Compare that with Pickford's 91 appearances, and it becomes a rather lazy claim.
The Everton star will only be 34 by the time of EURO 2028, and will most likely be England's number one, unless his form rapidly declines.
But that's yet to happen, and so long as Pickford keeps his own form up, Evertonians can enjoy seeing him don the England shirt for a few more years.

It would be slightly naive to assume that Pickford will be England's number one by the time of the next World Cup; he will be 36 by then.
However, he is still a better goalkeeper than Trafford as things stand, and the stats prove it.

Trafford's are 8.0 and 7.6, suggesting the defence in front of him is helping him out more.
The Leeds keeper has a bright future ahead of him, but he has his own competition to worry about before he can get ideas about replacing Pickford.
